WEEK 36 PREGNANCY UPDATE

Happy new year!!! It actually has been two months since I don't post anything, and far more longer since I posted a baby update. It was a busy holiday season, baking, eating, resting, wrapping, unwrapping, and just enjoying family time. It was hard to find some time to shot belly photos, and even more busy to write on the blog.

Anyways, hope 2018 I get to post more often, share more family moments, and even plan more family trips.
Now more about baby MJ #2. This pregnancy went by way too fast. We are at the end of waiting part, and so close to hold our second MJ baby. This weekend we took out the bassinet that connects to our bed, and Matias already laid his baby inside and all of his toys. I have a feeling he will be dumping all of his toys once baby is inside. The hospital bag is done, and baby diapers were bought. I think (with his pregnancy brain of mine) we are all ready and set for the arrival of baby.
Matias so far, is loving his school and gets to visit the school bunnies everyday which is part of our daily ritual. Every time he sees my belly he wants to kiss baby, or rest on the belly. I am so excited to see him become a big brother, but at the same time so nervous of how he will react and adapt to this new member of out family.

A little about the pregnancy at the moment...

How far long: I am 36 weeks pregnant, and already in the third and last trimester.
Baby MJ2 size: The size of a large cantaloupe or a head of romaine lettuce.
Miss anything: Sleeping in all the different positions a non-pregnant person can sleep, raw salmon on my sushi, and being able to pick anything from my closet and fit in it.
Best moment lately: Matias is growing so fast, and saying a lot of more words in spanish and english. I am so grateful to stay at home and be part of all his new achievements, and sharing with Gavin and my family of his progress.
Pregnancy related: I had my doctor's appointment last Wednesday and feel so happy to hear from the doctor that baby is doing well, heart beats are normal, and weighs almost 3 kg.
Sleep: Some nights are good, others just ok. But usually Matias sleeps through the night and I get to sleep in a little when Gavin takes care of Matias at 7am. He's the best!!!
Symptoms: Definitely feeling more heavy, and unable to keep up with Matias. Although he is a great helper, and if something falls on the ground he likes to help and pick it up. Still, the belly is growing more and more, which has left me feeling tired at random moments, specially mid day, and after putting Matias to bed.
Food cravings: No cravings at all. Actually, losing some appetite for food.
Movements: The doctor pointed out where each part of the baby's body was, and now every time he/she moves I sort of know what part that it is. I will definitely will miss to wake up with baby hiccups.
Names/Gender: Names are all set and done, and we still don't know baby's gender. Dying a little to know.
Looking forward: Wow, so many things to look forward. Baby's arrival is so so close, as well as my parents arrival to KL, and Matias second birthday next weekend.

xx
