From the Heart

One thing that I am truly thankful for while living in Malaysia is the endless public holidays. Today, Wednesday 10th, there is another holiday which means more family time. We had plans with friends for an early breakfast at a new place called Kopenhagen Coffee. We thought we will all be up by 7 am and be well rested for our one day holiday. But Matias had other plans in mind. He woke up at 4 am and then went back to sleep at 6 am. It was hard to get up, but we made it to our morning breakfast. Matias has this cute outfit from Mallorca, Spain (handmade) which was a gift from my Aunt, which he looked adorable in. The moment we started eating he got food all over his outfit, and later decided to play in the closet area of the restaurant that they were repairing/using for storage. The moral of the story... even though we make plans, and have an idea of how everything will go smoothly, it is up to yourself to make the best out of the circumstance. Find the joy in every day. Even though some nights I will only sleep 5 hours, I am truly thankful for my beautiful family, my friends, and all the blessings in this life.

PS: If you have any idea on how to remove food stains, particularly cherry puree, please let me know. Thanks!
