A HOLIDAY FROM THIS BUSY DAY

DON'T WORRY - NO ONE IS IN THE CAR BEHIND US

It's kind of funny, but we had such a busy Saturday that by the end of it I needed a holiday. How crazy it is that all the activities we had for this weekend were on Saturday, and on Sunday we didn't have anything to do. And of course, on Saturday, the day we needed to wake up early, Matias decided to sleep until 9 am. I seriously love to stay in bed and cuddle with my sleepy boy and Gavin, so it kills me when we have early plans the same day that Matias is extra-sleepy and cuddly in the morning.
We headed first to a potluck at a family resource group (Ibu group) that we are members of. Afterwards, we recharged our energy with a Sushi lunch and prepared for our Baby Sensory class. Matias was in great spirits (like always hehe) and enjoyed the "Magic" theme of the class alot. Once the class ended, we went straight to a birthday party for a 1-year-old girl that we meet at a Wednesday playgroup. After an hour there and some birthday cake we were super tired and headed home.
Two things that happened this day will get added to my all time favorite memories. First, during lunch time we ordered soba noodles and planned to give Matias a few of them. Once he tasted one noodle, he reached his arm to the noodle plate that Gavin and I were sharing and grabbed a big handful of noodles that he shoved in his mouth. Gavin and I looked at each other and just laughed and let him enjoy the moment. And the second thing - once we got home, Gavin made a delicious quiche (in like two seconds) and Matias chatted with his Canadian cousins.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
