DAY 1 IN HONG KONG
WE USUALLY DON'T SNAP PHOTOS ON ARRIVAL, BUT WHEN A TESLA IS INVOLVE, YOU MUST

Holiday time! We had yet another public holiday, leading to a long weekend, so we decided to travel to Hong Kong, since neither Gavin nor I have been here before.
We arrived in Hong Kong on Thursday at midnight. Matias had a great time in the airplane, where he slept at taking off, and landing. We all slept until 9 am the next morning, and Matias wasn't happy about waking up. But the buffet breakfast was calling us and it wasn't going to run all day, so we just had to go.
I love holidays, but somehow they can always become a little stressful, maybe just for me. Sometimes it is hard to choose what attractions to visit, to wait in the long queues, or just to get totally lost in a city. But I should not complain, my husband is always the one to cheer me up, and make me realize how lucky we are to be traveling and visiting new places. Even if that requires a one hour queue for the cable car (which was totally worth doing).
We started the day taking the MTR, which is very similar to the subway in NYC. Very easy to use, and cleaner than the NYC subway (minus the rats). We took the longest cable car ride I have ever taken, and visited  the giant Buddha temple, where we climbed a few steps up to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Then, we took a bus and a ferry to Hong Kong island, to have a look at a Wine and Dine festival. Unfortunately by then it was already quite late and the festival visit was a very short one, as we wanted to get Matias back to the hotel to his crib.
Matias had such a busy day, and he even took his three daily naps. He observed everything, from the subway rides, to the free-range cows walking next to us at temples.
We reached the hotel around 7:30 for dinner, and then took a very long deserved sleep. Matias slept until 9 am again (with his usual nightly wake-ups).
Happy Halloween eve!!!
