We had a lovely weekend in KL, very quiet and relaxed. I can't believe Christmas is over, and now we are getting ready to count down for the new year. I have never been so excited for the new year in my life before. I hope 2016 brings lots of joy to everyone, specially those who much need of it in the world. I am sure this new year will bring new adventures, new challenges, and lots of diapers (but I couldn't be more excited to have our Baby MJ's diapers to change).
On Boxing Day, we stayed away from the malls, since we had our fair share of crowded malls on Christmas Eve,. We relaxed at home, did some groceries and watched a movie called "McFarland, USA". I must recommend it if you like movies based on true events, and with an inspirational message.
Sunday was an unusual day for us. We took Simba, the cat we are taking care of for the holidays, to the vet to get his nails clipped. The poor thing was so scared, and didn't like getting a mani at all. Two staff had to hold him, while another clipped his nails, and on top of that he had to wear a head collar while he got his nail clipped. Thankfully it wasn't too long, and we quickly got home to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet.
During the past week, I cooked a Baked Panko Chicken that to my surprise, actually tasted delicious and Gavin enjoyed the leftovers for the next days. If you are looking for a new way to cook chicken at home, you should give it a try.
Here are some of the photos we took while opening Baby MJ's presents, and our presents next to our Christmas tree.
